After completing undergraduate university studies in Music Theory and Composition, and Religious Studies. Robert received his Masters degree in Arts and Consciousness Studies from John F. Kennedy University. Currently, he is Artist in Residence and teacher at the IHM School in Madison, Wisconsin. He has continued his artistic explorations at various workshops, and has studied drawing and painting with Kalpana Prakash at the Monroe Street Fine Arts Center in Madison.
Incorporating material from diverse sources, Robert works to arrange subject matter in a way that expresses some truth about life, about what it means to be human in a less than perfect world. He uses the technical tools of drawing and composition in combination with insights into color, pattern, form and line to create art that expresses a sense of meaning in life and a view of the world more hopeful and positive than is commonly found in these times.
